Data Deletion Instructions

You have multiple ways to delete your data from Reelforges.

Option 1 — Self-service (fastest)

1. Sign in at reelforges.com/sign-in.
2. Go to Settings → Delete account.
3. Confirm by typing your email address.
4. All your data — account record, API keys, generated reels, drafts, Instagram connections, and usage logs — is permanently deleted within 24 hours.

Option 2 — Delete a specific connection without deleting your account

• API keys: Dashboard → Keys → click the trash icon next to the key.
• Instagram account: Dashboard → Connections → disconnect Instagram. Your IG access token is deleted immediately; Meta retains the revocation record.
• Individual reels or drafts: each item has a delete button on its detail page.

Option 3 — Email request

Send a signed-from-your-account-email request to [email protected] with the subject line "Data deletion request". We respond within 5 business days and complete deletion within 30 days, in line with GDPR Article 17 requirements.

Option 4 — Instagram-initiated revocation

If you revoke Reelforges's access from your Instagram account settings directly:

1. Instagram → Settings → Apps and Websites → Active → Reelforges → Remove.
2. Meta sends us a deauthorisation callback.
3. Within 24 hours we delete: the Instagram access token, Instagram User ID, and any pending scheduled publishing jobs tied to that account. Your Reelforges account itself remains active unless you delete it separately.

What is retained after deletion

Certain limited records are retained where legally required:

• Billing and invoice records — retained as required by tax law (typically 10 years).
• Abuse / ToS violation records — retained until the statute of limitations expires, where necessary for legal defence.

These records are stored separately from operational systems and are not used for any purpose other than compliance.
